volga volga is a Tokyo-based clothing brand launched by designer Mikhail Panteleev and modelist Shiori Kurushima.

We create meticulously designed, easy-to-wear garments by combining various carefully selected fabrics in one piece, using three-dimensional cutting.
Each piece has its own personality and texture and is hand-finished in our atelier.

From our very first collection in 2001, we have shown men’s wear and women’s wear collections every season at Paris Fashion Week.
For 7 straight seasons, from spring/summer 2002 until autumn-winter 2004, we collaborated with Rei Kawakubo for her "10 corso como‐COMMES des GARCONS" and "CORNER" collections (ISETAN MEN'S).

In December 2012, we opened our flagship store, in our atelier in Tokyo.

We plan the new approach from Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

モスクワ出身のデザイナー、ミハイル・パンチレエフによるMade in Tokyoのアパレルブランド。厳選した素材のミックスや立体的なカッティングでストレスの無い快適な着用感を追及し、流行にとらわれないこだわりの物作りを続けている。アトリエ内での手作業で1枚1枚おもむきと奥行きのあるピースに仕上げていく。

開業当初よりパリにて展示会を開催し、欧米のセレクトショップを中心に展開している。

2002年春夏から2004年秋冬の6シーズンに渡り"10 CORSO COMO‐COMMES DES GARCONS" "CORNER"（伊勢丹メンズ館）の為に川久保玲氏とコラボレーションした。

2012年12月、馬喰町のアトリエ内にショップをオープンする。

2018年8月アトリエショップを閉店。2019年春夏コレクションより新たな試みを計画しております。

Mikhail  Panteleev


Mikhail was born and raised in Moscow, and comes from a long line of famous painters.

He studied at the Moscow Academy of Art, Art Textile College and Moscow Textile Academy, where he started to make his first garments.

In 1991 and 1992 he won the Air France Fashion Contest held in France.

In 1995 he won the Slava Zaitsev fashion contest in Moscow.

In March 1995 his first runway marked the first ever fashion show staged in the Grand Kremlin Palace.

In 1996 he was invited to present his "Panteleev Collection" in Osaka, Japan, where he was discovered by Yohji Yamamoto and invited to work in his atelier in Tokyo.

In Tokyo he worked for three and a half years on the top women's wear line "Yohji Yamamoto Femmes". While working there he designed jewelry for the movie "BROTHER" directed by Takeshi Kitano.

In 2000 he founded his own brand "volga volga" with his wife and modelist Shiori Kurushima. He directs their Tokyo-based atelier.


ミハイル・パンチレエフ


モスクワの代々続く画家の家系に生まれ育つ。

モスクワ・アート・アカデミー、モスクワ・アート・テキスタイル・カレッジ、モスクワ・テキスタイル・アカデミーで学ぶ。モスクワ・テキスタイル・アカデミー在学中に独学で洋服を作り始める。

1991年、1992年2回にわたり、エールフランス航空主催新人クリエイター賞世界大会ロシア代表に選出される。

1995年、モスクワザイツェフ財団ファッションコンテスト優勝。

同年3月、史上初のクレムリン宮殿内でのファッションショーを成功させ「ファッション界のガガーリン」と呼ばれた。

1996年、大阪コレクションに招かれ「パンチレエフ・コレクション」を発表した際、山本耀司氏に見出され来日。

パリコレラインである「ヨージヤマモトファム」のアクセサリーを中心にデザインする。また北野武監督「ブラザー」のジュエリーデザインも手掛けた。

2000年、公私共にパートナーである来嶋しおりとvolga volga 設立。現在に至る

Shiori  Kurushima


Shiori was born in Marugame City in Kagawa, Japan.

After graduating from Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, she studied at Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris.

With a recommendation from Bernard Mine, one of the last Chef-Designers to work with Coco Chanel herself, Shiori worked as premiere main (head seamstress) in the Hanae Mori Paris tailoring atelier, where garments such as suits are made.
She has also worked as a modelist (a designer who uses draping to create styles) and pattern maker for ready-to-wear brands.

After returning to Tokyo in 1991, she worked for the fashion house Toray producing textiles.

In 1993 she worked for Korean designer Miwha Hong primarily as a modelist and organizer for the Paris Fashion Week runway and collection.

In 1998 she worked for Jurgen Lehl as an interior designer.

In 2000 she founded volga volga together with her husband and designer Mikhail Panteleev in Tokyo.
She directs pattern making and is the modelist in their atelier.



来嶋しおり


香川県丸亀市に生まれる。

文化服装学院を卒業後、渡仏し、シャンブル・サンディカル・ドゥ・ラ・クチュール・パリジェンヌ(パリ・オートクチュール協会学院)を卒業。

ハナエモリ・パリにてベルナール・ミンヌ(ココ・シャネル自身と仕事をした最後のシェフ)からの指名を受け、Atelier Tailleur(スーツなどを製作するアトリエ)でプルミエ・マン(洋服1点全てを任され担当するお針子)として従事。
その他にも、プレタポルテブランドのモデリスト(立体裁断のみでシルエットの構築を行う)、パタンナーとして活躍。

1991年に帰国後、東レにて生地企画開発に従事。

1993年より、パリコレクションでファッションショーを開催する韓国人デザイナー、ミファ・ホンのアシスタントとしてパリ、ソウル、東京のそれぞれに拠点を持って活動。パタンを担当する傍ら、パリコレクションでのファッションショーのオーガニゼーション全般を任されるなどした。

1998〜99年、ヨーガンレール インテリア企画に従事。

2000年、公私共にパートナーであるミハイル・パンチレエフとvolga volga 設立。現在に至る
